The short version

Contuitive runs either on your own server (self-hosted) or on a dedicated Contuitive Cloud instance that we operate for you alone. If you self-host, your documents, PowerTrails, notes and client details never reach us. If you use Contuitive Cloud, they are stored on your dedicated instance and handled only to provide the service to you. Beyond that, we only handle the data needed to manage licences, answer invitation requests and emails, and operate this website.

1. Who we are

This website and the Contuitive software are provided by Contuitive Software, [LEGAL ENTITY NAME, REGISTERED ADDRESS, COUNTRY] ("Contuitive", "we", "us"). For any privacy question, contact assistance@contuitive.com.

2. Self-hosted installations

Everything you store in Contuitive — documents, photos, PowerTrails, events, notes, reminders, tags, extracted data, user accounts, and the names, email addresses and phone numbers of clients you share trails with — is stored only on the server you install Contuitive on. We have no access to it.

When you use client sharing or reminders, one-time codes and reminders are sent through the email or messaging services configured on your installation. You are responsible for that data and for informing your own clients, in the same way as for any other system you run.

3. Contuitive Cloud instances

If you choose Contuitive Cloud, we run a dedicated instance of Contuitive for you on a virtual private server. Your content — documents, PowerTrails, notes, client details and account data — is stored on that instance, which is not shared with other customers. We act on your behalf as a data processor: we use this content only to provide, secure and support the service, and we do not access it except [WHEN: e.g. with your permission for support, or when required for security or by law].

Instances are hosted in [COUNTRY / REGION AND HOSTING PROVIDER]. [BACKUP AND ENCRYPTION PRACTICES]. You can move your data to a self-hosted installation at any time. When you end your subscription, we delete your instance and its backups within [PERIOD].

4. Licence and trial activation

When you activate a trial or licence, or when your installation checks its licence, it sends us:

  • a hashed device identifier that identifies the installation (not you personally, and not derived from your documents);
  • the licence key or trial request, and technical details needed to validate it (such as activation status and dates);
  • optionally, an email address, if you choose to enter one during trial activation to receive support, offers and product news.

We use this only to validate licences, manage seats and hardware moves, prevent misuse, and — if you gave an email address — to contact you. It is stored on Contuitive's servers [LOCATION / HOSTING PROVIDER] and kept for [RETENTION PERIOD, e.g. as long as the licence is active plus N years]. You can unsubscribe from emails at any time.

5. Invitation requests and emails

If you request an invitation or email us, we receive the details you send — typically your name, email address, phone number, company, profession and a description of your use case. Invitation requests sent through the form on this website are stored in a spreadsheet in our Google account and forwarded to our inbox, so Google processes them on our behalf. We use them only to review your request and reply to you, and we keep them for [RETENTION PERIOD] unless you become a customer.

6. This website

  • No analytics and no advertising trackers. The site sets no cookies of its own. The interactive demos run entirely in your browser; nothing you type into them is saved or sent.
  • Live chat, only if you open it. "Talk to us" opens a chat provided by Crisp (crisp.chat). The chat loads only when you click it; it then sets a cookie to keep your conversation, and the messages and details you share are processed by Crisp on our behalf.
  • Our web host records standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) to keep the site running and secure.
  • Pages load styling and icon libraries from third-party content delivery networks (cdn.tailwindcss.com and unpkg.com), and some pages show images from images.unsplash.com. These providers receive your IP address when your browser requests those files, under their own privacy policies.

7. AI providers you choose

If you configure a cloud AI provider (such as OpenAI, Google Gemini or Anthropic Claude) in your installation, the content you send for AI processing goes directly from your server or cloud instance to that provider under your own account and their terms. With a local model through Ollama, nothing leaves your network. We are not involved in either case.

8. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run licensing, email and this website, and when required by law.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live — for example under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 or the EU GDPR — you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a data protection authority. To exercise these rights, email assistance@contuitive.com.

10. Changes

We will update this page if our practices change and show the date of the latest version at the top.
